Adopting an older pup or adult dog
If you're interested in an older pup or adult dog instead of an 8 week old puppy, we might be able to fix you up with a new buddy. Please send us an email that includes some information about your home - family members, other pets, your activity habits, your experience with dogs, and a description of the living conditions. We can then try to match up an available dog with your personal situation.
At this time, we do not have any adult dogs or older pups to be rehomed.
Pup adoption
The pups are generally spoken for before they are born. If you're interested in one, please follow these steps:
- Complete the Pup Application and fill in the Policies & Procedures documents and email them to us.
- You may be required to visit (or participate in an online meeting) prior to being accepted.
- We will request $300 deposits from approved people who are ready to bring pups into their homes.
- Once your deposit is received, it is expected that a pup will be offered to you within the next 18 months.
- The information on your Pup Application will be important in ensuring that the proper match is made between your family and the personality of the pup.
The total cost is $3000 plus HST ($3390).
Pups come from parents who have been cleared of hip, elbow, eye and heart problems as per the OFA standards. Parents are also clear of inheritable conditions common to the breed, using Embark (or similar) genetic testing. Mothers are available to be seen at any time and although the fathers are not kept on site, they are selected with careful consideration of attitude and temperament.
